We add a new Scenario to all versions of the game, bringing the total to 9.

The Spill is a high-level scenario that brings several new twists to the game, including an extremely unique use of the Impact board. Unusual features of this scenario include:

The ocean grid is six wide by a maximum of four deep, and nobody may Discover zones beyond depth 2 until the marked thresholds are reached on the Cleanup track; gotta get those waters clear!

Each player gets a marker on the Cleanup track. The only way to move your marker is by performing Conservation actions in different zones, meaning you'll be sailing far and wide to find new areas to clean. To help power all the Conservation you'll be doing, the first time you Conserve in a zone, you can use an Impact marker from your supply instead of a disc from your Staging Area. That will make a huge difference in your ability to do as much as you can!

Why clean up? Well, see the red hexes on the Impact board? Those are Polluted hexes. They have fantastic rewards in them, but each Polluted hex will be worth negative points to you unless you can get your Cleanup marker up to the threshold that will scrub those negative points away!

Another twist is that Impact gained from Conservation actions can go directly into the high-scoring box, motivating you further to Conserve as much as possible. All of this combines excellently with goals that drive you to have a huge wave-skimming presence near the surface and a prolific ecological presence down deep!
